VEMSA understands that making reservations online requires you to have a great deal of trust in us. We take this responsibility very seriously, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide is a high priority for us. What information do we collect from you?

We receive and store any information that you enter on our website or give us in any other way. This includes information that can identify you (“personal information”), including your first and last name, telephone number, mailing /email address, fax number and, if you make a reservation through our site, your credit card information (such as credit card number, cardholder name and expiration date). We may also request information about your hotel room preferences and information about loyalty, frequent flyer and/or car rental programs. You may choose not to provide us with information, but certain information about you is generally required to purchase products or services, to complete your traveler profile, to participate in surveys, contests or promotions, to ask us questions or to initiate other transactions on our site.

When you make a reservation for another person through VamosdeViaje.com, we will request personal information and travel preferences from that person. You must obtain the consent of the other people before providing us with their personal information and travel preferences, as any access to view or change this information will only be available through your account (if any).

We may also obtain personal and non-personal information about you from affiliated entities, business partners and other independent third party sources and add it to our account information (if any). Examples of information we may receive include: updated delivery and address information, purchase history and demographic information.

Calls made to and from our customer service and help line may be recorded or monitored for quality control and staff training purposes. Call recordings will be retained for as long as necessary and then deleted. Any personal information obtained from you during the call will be treated in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

We use credit card information (such as cardholder name, credit card number and expiration date) for the purpose of completing the travel reservations you make on our site. E-mail communications. We want to make it easy for you to take advantage of travel-related opportunities on our website. For example, if you search for a flight to New York on our website and have saved the itinerary or otherwise not yet made your travel reservation, we may send you an e-mail message reminding you of the saved travel itinerary or informing you of a special prices for flights to New York.

If you receive an e-mail message from us about New York and show interest in hotels in New York by affirmatively clicking on a link to hotels in that area, you may receive an e-mail message about hotel deals in New York or other information about your destination. We believe these e-mail messages will provide you with useful information about special travel-related offers available on our sites. Who do we share your information with?

VamosdeViaje.com may share your information with the following entities:

Hotels, airlines, car rental services and activity providers, who fulfill your travel booking request. VamosdeViaje.com and all services provided by a third party provider are described as such. We invite you to review the privacy policies of any third party travel service provider from whom you purchase products through Vamosdeviaje.com. Please note that these providers may also contact you if necessary to obtain additional information about you, to facilitate your travel booking or to respond to a comment you send them.

Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including credit card processing, business analytics, customer service, marketing, distribution of surveys or lottery programs, and fraud prevention. We may also authorize service providers to collect information on our behalf if necessary to operate certain elements of our website or to facilitate the delivery of online advertising tailored to your interests. Service providers may collect and have access to information that is necessary for them to perform their functions, but are not permitted to share or use the information for any other purpose.

Business Partners in conjunction with whom we may offer products or services. When you register as a member on VamosdeViaje.com, you will be given a choice as to whether you wish to receive emails from us about special offers from VEMSA, as well as emails about products and services from select third parties. As a registered member of VamosdeViaje.com you will be able to change your choices at any time through Email Settings on the My Itineraries page. You will also be given the same choices when you complete any form on our website.

Whether you are a registered member of VamosdeViaje.com or not, in any email messages we send, you will also be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from the messages. Please note that we reserve the right to send you other communications, including service announcements, administrative messages and surveys that relate to your VamosdeViaje.com account (if any) or your transactions on VamosdeViaje.com without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

Once you log in as a member of VamosdeViaje.com, we record the member name and member ID in the member’s account (if any) in the cookie file on your computer.
